There is nothing more fun than picking a melon from your own garden. This sweet cutie is also grown for cooler climates. What a luck! Sugar Baby has a dark skin and bright red sweet flesh. She is small and easy to grow. Just wave your hand at the supermarket, you don't need it for this.

Sowing

Sow her on your windowsill around the end of April. Plant out at the end of May and place in the warmest spot in your garden. Possibly first in a pot and then in the open ground. Treat her with respect, plenty of water and fertilizers, a pat, a kiss and sweet words. Guaranteed success!

Reaping

Harvest when its bright green color has changed to dull green and the stem has dried. It also has a long shelf life.
