Paprika d’ Ast Rosso
An aromatic Italian classic sweet pepper with thick flesh. Paprika d’ Ast Rosso is a medium-early type of plant, deep red and with a large yield.
Suitable for the greenhouse but also outdoors in a pot or open ground. It is said that pepper plants are annuals. That is not entirely true, you can keep them by pruning them heavily in the late season. Let them overwinter in your house or greenhouse.
Sowing
Pre-sow from January to March indoors or in a heated greenhouse. Fill pots or a seed tray with potting soil. Use 2 seeds per pot and cover the seeds with a thin layer of potting soil. Water by placing the pots or seed tray in a container of water for a while until the soil has soaked up. Place them on your windowsill or greenhouse. The germination time of peppers is between 2 and 4 weeks. As soon as the young plants have leaves, place them in a larger pot. Do this repeatedly until the pepper plant is about 20 to 30 cm. Then you can place them in the open ground or leave them in the large pot.
