Eggplants are sun worshippers
Eggplants are sun worshippers, so it can be difficult to grow beautiful large fruits. No problem for this eggplant, it has also been bred for a cooler climate and therefore has a greater chance of a good yield. It is a compact plant and does well in your most beautiful outdoor pot. You can of course also plant it in the open ground and give it the warmest spot.
Sowing
Sow indoors from February to April. Aubergine Listada is an early variety that bears fruit until late summer, but harvest young. It takes about 60 days after planting out for you to reap the benefits.
Eggplants consist of 90% water and contain a lot of fiber. To make eggplant easier to process in your kitchen, you can sprinkle the slices with salt to remove some moisture. Dab with a cloth before use. It will now absorb less oil when frying.
