This celery, also called green celery, is the most commonly grown variety. Easy to grow in the ground or in pots. Very tasty and wonderfully scented vegetable that is extremely healthy. Celery is a vegetable that detoxifies the body through its many important nutrients such as: potassium, magnesium, iron, calcium and vitamins A, C and K. Drink a glass of celery juice every morning (with a break after two weeks) on an empty stomach and you will notice the difference in your hair and skin. Or use celery (naturally) in many dishes and/or eat it as a snack and you will also achieve good results.
Moisture
Celery Tall Utah requires a humus-rich soil that retains moisture. The plant can be placed in full sun, but partial shade will cause the soil to dry out less quickly. This way the tasty leaves retain their deep green color. Celery does not necessarily have to be planted in the ground, it also does well in pots. An ideal plant for the small garden.
When to sow and how
Celery needs a temperature of 10°C to germinate. Depending on the temperature, germination will take approximately 4 – 6 weeks. In principle, celery can be sown in a cold greenhouse from mid-February. If the seeds are pre-sown indoors, they will germinate more quickly. Don't sow too deep! So sprinkle a very thin layer of soil over the seeds. When harvesting, only cut off what you need and the celery will grow back. In autumn, protect the plants against possible frost.
