Broccoli sprouts
Broccoli is one of the most well-known sprouts. This is due to its high vitamin C content. The taste is slightly spicy and salty. Broccoli sprouts quickly and fits into any dish. Vary with sprouts, each seed has its own special nutritional value.

Organic broccoli seeds.
Sprouting guidelines
- Sprouting time: 3 to 5 days.
- Soaking time: 4-8 hours.
- Yield: yield 1 tbsp of dry seed yields 1.5 teacups of sprouts.
Soaking: put 1-2 tablespoons of seed in a glass jar with a sprouting lid or a piece of cheesecloth with elastic.
Add water, shake and let drain briefly. Fill the jar with water again and let soak for between 4 and 8 hours. This is not necessary, but it does ensure faster germination.
Empty the jar and place it in a colander and let it drain well. Put the lid loosely on it (first 2 days), this prevents the seeds from drying out. Place the jar in a warm place but not in the sun.
Rinsing: rinse the jar with water twice a day.
Storage: 6 to 7 days in the refrigerator.
Broccoli microgreens
Duration of germination time for microgreens: 7 to 12 days.
- Cover a bowl or container with unbleached cotton pads and wet them.
- Slightly squeeze the excess water from the cotton wool.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of seeds over the moist cotton wool.
- Place the bowl in a light place but not in direct sunlight.
- Check every day whether the cotton wool is moist. Spray with a plant sprayer when necessary.
- After two days you will see the seeds sprouting.
- Cut off the shoots when the sprouts have formed leaves.
