Anise Pimpinella
Anise has refined white umbel flowers with light green, feather-like leaves. Not only beautiful but also a plant with many medicinal properties. Therefore, delve into this plant, its power will amaze you. In Asian countries, anise seed is often eaten after a meal, among other things to prevent a bloated feeling or belching. Because of the special and authentic taste and smell, the seed is often used in savoury and sweet recipes. Use the delicate flowers to give your dishes a special touch. Everyone will be happy with these beautiful umbel flowers, you, the butterflies, bumblebees and the bees!
Sowing
Sow anise from the end of April because it really cannot tolerate frost. Because of the long taproots, it is better not to move or prick out anise. Therefore, sow in the open ground in a warm place (pot is also possible). Sow in rows with 5 cm row spacing and cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil of one cm. The seeds germinate after about 3 weeks. Do not let anise dry out. You can add some vermiculite to the soil to keep it moist. Water regularly but not too much.
