Summer Carrot Nantes

A fast-ripening summer carrot with a high yield. Carrots do well next to most plants. Especially with herbs such as chives, garlic, rosemary and sage. The taste is crunchy and sweet with a firm core that makes for a tasty carrot.

Sowing

Sow March to July in loose soil. Sow thinly in rows 20 cm apart. When the plants come up, remove the excess of plants (thin out). The more distance the carrots are from each other, the thicker they become. Cover the newly emerged plants with insect netting against damage by the carrot fly larva.

Summer carrot Nantes can also be grown as an autumn carrot, sow in July. Harvesting from June to October
