Muesli mix
Muesli mix with (pseudo) grains, gluten-free.
Ingredients
Organic buckwheat, brown millet and red quinoa seeds.
Buckwheat, brown millet and quinoa are called pseudograins. They look like grains but these seeds contain much more proteins, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. They are seeds or nuts from other plant species (not grasses) and are gluten-free. Sprouted, these grains contain a much higher nutritional value. This applies to all types of sprouts.
Sprouting guidelines
- Sprouting time:2 days
- Soaking time:2 to 3 hours
- Soaking:put 3 to 4 tablespoons of muesli mix in a glass jar with a sprouting lid or a piece of gauze with elastic. Add plenty of water, shake and let drain briefly. Fill the jar with water again and let soak for between 2 and 3 hours. Pour the water out of the jar and place it at an angle in a colander and let drain well. Put the lid loosely on (first 2 days), this prevents the seeds from drying out. Place the jar in a warm place, such as the countertop, so you don't forget to rinse it.
- Rinsing:Rinse the jar 3 times a day until the water is clear. After two days, the muesli mix is ready for use. The grains are then activated and have hardly any sprout growth.
- Storage:Can be kept in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days.
Use the sprouted muesli in your yoghurt with fresh fruit, for example, or as you normally would.
